Wendy Kendrick

A Maryland native, Wendy earned a B.S. in Interpretation, Recreation and Resource Management from the University of Maryland. Her professional life began as a park ranger with the National Park Service. Several long-term careers later and tiring of the hectic Washington metropolitan lifestyle, Wendy and family relocated to a farm in Amherst, Virginia. In 2003, a conservation easement was placed on the farm and the same year Wendy co-founded the non-profit, Central Virginia Land Conservancy (CVaLC) now part of LSU. She and her husband continue to live on their farm, Fancy Hill, and spend time in outdoor activities and traveling in their RV. They have one grown daughter.
