​Frank Maguire has worked in the outdoor recreation world since 1995. He currently has his own trail consulting company called Small Mountain Trails and until recently has been the Greenway Coordinator for the Roanoke Valley Greenway Commission. He is a board member of the Virginia Trail Alliance, has leadership roles in several Roanoke area non-profits and is a graduate of Leadership Roanoke Valley. Before moving to Roanoke in 2021, he was the Program Director for Trails and Outdoor Recreation at the Pennsylvania Environmental Council. In Pennsylvania, he served as vice chair of the Penns Valley Conservation Alliance and served on the fundraising campaign committee for Clearwater Conservancy, a large land trust in central PA.
